    A lot of Americans thought that kind of deal was made between Ford and Nixon, and they did not like it! Ford's poll numbers went down quite a bit when he pardoned Nixon. Probably was a major factor in costing him the election of 1976.

    If Pence were to pardon Trump, I think that would be an even bigger scandal.
