I can’t think of s single legislation he’s passed that would affect the economy in any way. For good or bad.

Health care didn’t pass so there’s been no change, tax cuts are still in the works, travel ban is tossed out, transgendered military ban is tossed out ...

He pulled out of TPP bWhite it started so no change, he’s threatened to pull out of NAFTA but hasn’t so no change. No wall so no change.

    What am I missing.

What has had he done that would have in any way affected the economy?

Nothing but drive up the stock market on the hopes of massive deregulation (think gutting the Dodd/Frank bill) You know, the thing that only really wealthy people benefit from....

You aren't very friendly with the truth, Obama sent 30,000 troops to Afghanistan for his failed surge right out of the gate. It cost the lives of thousands of American troops, cost hundreds of billions and left the people of Afghanistan in worse shape.

    Completely wrong.

More than half of Americans are invested in the stock market.

When the stock market does good it helps far more than "only really wealthy people".

From Gallup.com April 2015: "Fifty five percent of Americans are invested in stock market"

That means they own stocks directly or mutual funds that are invested in stocks.

Do you think that 55% of Americans are "really wealthy people"?

    Me neither.

A quick question...did you praise obama when the stock market almost tripled?
Why would I praise Obama for anything concerning the economy?

Obama was the first president in history that didn't see a 3% or above GDP.

    Under Obama we saw:

13 million more Americans on Food stamps

    8 million more in poverty

We saw the worst recovery since 1940's

The lowest labor participation rates since 1970's

    And he Doubled debt!

I don't find any part of Obama's legacy worthy of praise.

So literally the only thing Trump has done that would affect the economy is that the stock market went up in HOPES he WOULD do something?

So really it’s ridiculous to discuss the head of state as if they are responsible for the economy. Unless they’ve actually done something and it’s had time to have an effect.

might as well ask if you’ve had better weather under one leader or another.

Has your cat been healthier under Trump or Obama?

Hes never passed an economic bill or a bill that would affect the economy.

    This is stupid.

Which is still happening, although it's being aimed at individuals instead of businesses. It takes more than allowing capitalism to exploit your country to call yourself a democracy. Just ask the Chinese.

Don't dismiss the importance of the stock market doing well.

    VERY well.

I explained it to another member in post #35.

    Good answer.

Some of Trump's antics have been somewhat embarrassing. Wish someone would break his tweeter.

But overall we are doing as good or better as ever.
