I have book cases full of books. Am now cleaning them out. I only read them once.
Me, I prefer books, just have them reserve a new book. You get it in a couple of days.
It's interesting you mentioned that. I'm looking up at books that need thinning out to repaint the bookcases. Figured I'll donate them to the library. I assume they still take hardbacks? It's been awhile since we donated.
    Thanks from Madeline

I tried to donate a load of old books on Roman and Byzantine history to a bookshop and they refused them! They originally cost a fortune and were in excellent condition, however, they said no-one is interested in this sort of thing.

Not here! Finding ANYWHERE to donate books is impossible in Cleveland.

    *Deep sigh*

Nothing causes me more pain than throwing books into the recycling bin, but I had not discarded a book since college when I began the great purge. I just cannot abide the dust and clutter.

Something very interesting has happened. It appears thru conversations with my daughter and her friends, they are not so much interested in reading the book BUT are inflamed by what they see as an authoritarian act to control, ie book burnings. Apparently they were very very upset by the word banning at CDC, and now they are ALL buying this book. I think a boil got burst here. And it won't bode well for the "establishment".

Given that Trump himself provided promotional advertising for the book, I'm interested.

Remember when the book "150 Reasons Why Barack Obama Is The Worst President In History" came out, and Obama spoke out against it?

Or when "Obama Zombies: How the Liberal Machine Brainwashed My Generation" was published, and Obama railed against the author?

Or when "Obama's America: Unmaking the American Dream" hit the shelves, and Obama put out a public statement denouncing the book?

How about "Culture of Corruption: Obama and His Team of Tax Cheats, Crooks, and Cronies?" Or "Barack Obama: A Detailed Response to Benghazi?" Or "The Roots of Obama's Rage?" Or "Crimes Against Liberty: An Indictment of President Barack Obama?" Or any of the others?

Don't you remember how Obama howled and raged about these?

    Me neither.

I doubt it. Goodwill accepts them, but they go to an outlet that sells them for a few cents. Just donate them. I do.
    Thanks from Madeline
