The range I go to practice has fully automatic weapons you can rent and fire on the range. I have not rented one as of yet. I fired them while in the Marines so it's not as if it's some new thing, some thrill, I want to experience.
The ammo is not cheap and you can go trough an awful lot of it very quickly.
    Thanks from Devil505

Fewer sounds are more intimidating that someone racking a 12 gauge.

We did that at ITR at Camp Pendleton, loads of fun.
We shot at old tanks, trucks and APC's.
Kinda' dates us both talking about the old 3.5 rocket launcher!

It would be great fun, as long as someone else was paying for the ammunition.

The army had LAWS at the time, but we didn't get to test them out.

I think most men our age grew up watching TV westerns like The Rifleman and wanted to shoot anything we saw.
We grew up but not out of that gun-loving culture.

Girls were not into that as I remember. (my older sister played Jacks, Jumprope and Hopscotch while I was shooting the bad guys with my Mattel Fanner50.......with every other cap malfunctioning)

We fired them at Pendleton. That would have been the summer of 1968.
