I would. ....and I have fired them in Quantico.....It was great fun!.......although the DEA was to cheap to let us trainees fire full magazines of ammo

I'm guessing this will be a gender related poll.

sure, I would. I have used them before and, as you said, they're fun to shoot. not terribly accurate, but still fun. besides, I could never afford one for myself.

Nor should you have any use for one in the real world, right?

I posted this poll in opposition to some who claim only mentally ill people would want one.

well, they're a little too inaccurate for home defense if you want to keep from shooting innocent people around - some of them have quite a muzzle rise on full auto. I'd prefer a pistol.
EDIT: they are great for the intimidation factor, though - as long as you don't actually pull the trigger and shoot holes in everything \9or person) around you.

At a gun range? Supervised by professionals? Sure.

Only if I don't have to pay for all the ammo I burn through.

that's a problem for sure. shooting them is one thing - paying to feed them is quite another.

Not as good as racking a simple/cheap 12 gauge shotgun.

for home defense? I'd consider that a little overkill and dangerous to use inside a house.
