    Possible outcome of Kim-Trump Summit

President Trump has chosen John Bolton, a hawk on North Korea and Iran, to be his next national security adviser. With the appointment of John Bolton as national security adviser, will Trump take a more hawkish stance during his upcoming summit with Kim? Do you think he may even cancel the summit? If the summit goes ahead as scheduled, what do you think will be the possible outcome?

Possible outcomes of Kim - Trump summit:

-Donald Trump dines on KFC... Korean Fried "Chicken".

-Donald Trump mistakenly negotiates with every Korean male he meets, thinking each one is Kim Jong Un.

-Donald Trump fucks North Korean porn star.

I hate John Bolton, but there's some consolation in the fact that Trump doesn't really care about the people around him except as conduits for his "light." So Bolton will probably be a frustrated old mustache in a few months.

I think that Trump would actually be one guy who could pull this off. No, he doesn't cancel. I think that he gets this done.

They’re there to ask the US to withdraw from South Korea. In exchange for the North abandoning its nuclear missile program.

I think President Moon thinks that if he gets Trump alone in a room he can persuade him to do it. He’s right of course, because anyone who gets Trump alone in a room persuades him.

The real question is - are they REALLY going to let Moon get him alone in a room?

It doesn't really matter because as he has repeatedly shown, the Republican President tends not to stay persuaded for any length of time. Usually just till he talks with someone with a different idea.

It's a good question but Bolton has never been in a position where NK would sit down and talk. We don't know how he will act. Perhaps he will see this as an opportunity (to not be hawkish).

I remember that episode where Wile E. Coyote swears he's no longer interested in catching the Road Runner.
