    Ass Backwards ?

This is the only industrial country on earth where owning a gun is a right but HC is a privilege.

You and buy all the health care and guns you want.

You don't need a special license or privilege to buy health care.

Same thing can be argued about Rolls Royces and homes on Rodeo Drive, LA.

Rights are not things you compel others to give you.

Since we have a right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, I'd say yes, health care is a right since without proper health care in many instances you can die.

    Says who?
Why are you and I compelled to pay taxes for our mutual security and general welfare then?

Thats always a hard one for me. I would like to think healthcare needs to be a right, but then what about a warm, safe place to live? General well being also means staying warm, having something to eat as well. Because as we know if we grow up eating poorly our health suffers.

Semantics arguments hold no interest for me.

If a little Leaguer hits the ball over the fence he has the right to round the bases for a home run.
