FWIW, I did hear a brief report on Bloomberg Business News that more people are falling behind on their car payments.....

Glad I DON'T have any car payments any more! Have a paid-off Chevy Cruze with only 11,400 miles on it.

That could be a negative indicator. I, on the other hand, am doing swimmingly, seeing as how my auto-pay managed to make my car payment TWICE this month.

Wait until next year if we leave the GOP in control of Congress.
    I'll bump this thread.

Article in the newspaper about repo men and the new method of repossession and mentioned how business is booming as more people can not make the payments.

The question is - that 30% - what income bracket are they in? The higher up you go, the bigger the tax break you got.

My IRA went up 300% under Obama and is currently up about 20% under Trump. Income hasn't changed and the pittance of a tax break we (the Middle Class) got was wiped out with higher gas prices. In another 6 months I can get on Medicare. That will help with the Dr. Bills.

The home I paid $150K for in the Seattle area, in 1992, is worth $750K. That, my Wife and are grateful for.
