Why do you believe Trump - If you do?

What it that makes you believe your President?

He pays people for influence and to silence them about his deeds, but calls others doing so, the problem. So in his own mind, is it or is it not, a problem when he does it and may still be doing it?

Why does this man act as if nothing he does is a problem and how does he get away with calling it a problem when other people do it, but exempt himself from his own scrutiny?

What syndrome, does that fall under?

All presidents lie, some more than others.

Bill Clinton still has the most famous single lie in presidential history.

If there IS one in our lifetime who did not lie, it would be Carter.

So in your world all lies are the same?
That dress doesn't make you look fat is the same as I didn't kill her?

I didn't say, or even imply that "all lies are the same".

    Those are YOUR words.

    I said all presidents lie.

And if there's an exception to that, it's probably Carter.

He was a very good person, just not a good president.

Carter told a famous lie. You don't remember it?

A reporter asked him during a White House briefing if the United States was planning any military attempt to rescue the hostages in Iran. Jimmy Carter looked the cameras square in the lens and said "No.". That was a blatant lie. Planning for the rescue attempt was already in advanced stages.

Why, precisely, was he not a good President? I would be interested in hearing your reasoning for that.

Only one US president has been a pathological and habitual liar. I'd give you a chance to guess who it is, but you'd surely fuck it up.

So, can anyone here who believes Trump, tell us why they believe him?

So far, it looks like no one believes him or if they do, they may not be able to say why.

    A couple of reasons.

His energy policy: turn the thermostat down and put on 3 more sweaters.

Iran gave up the hostages when he left.

Iran knew that Reagan wouldn't allow them to keep our people.

Jimmy Carter was a good person, not a good president, too weak.

Like all presidents, there were good things and bad things.

    Mallard Fillmore?

Here's the all time champion presidential lie:

"I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky."
