Well duuuh, you DO realize that Chief is active duty Navy, right?
Chief is not just a forum ID but an abbreviation/slang of a Navy NCO rank.

I had no idea. Is that important? I do seem to remember the navy insisting on my following orders from chiefs when I was in.

I actually am a Reservist... that's why I'm in Pearl Harbor right now. but I also work for the Navy (indirectly) as a civilian, so I'm working often from the base in Port Hueneme. Ironically, starting this year I'll see more ship time as a civilian than as a military man. :P

I'm not asking you to give an opinon about decrees that do not as yet exist. I'm only asking what you think of the "tactic" of creating gun legislation without passing laws. It's a simple enough question. You're an educated man. Surely you have an opinion.

What do you think about the tactic of Republicans dancing a 2 second jig before crossing a street? I don't know if it ever happens, but it might, and you could still have an opinion about it.

I prefer to reserve making an opinion about something until I there is a reason to. Do you have a link of this happening?

Well naturaly a Navy Chief is not as important as a Marine NCO. But i understand they are used to give orders to paint-scrapers and so forth.

No reason to be sorry. I was active duty between 1990 and 1991. I love being afiliated with the Navy and the Reserves have been a great option for me and my family.

Nah, I'm just one of the common folk. None of that elitist "not my President" for me.
