The word theist finds its justification only in the artificial antifactor of atheist. But indeed we beleivers in spirituality are not the antifactor of atheists. Not always every Christian for example believes always every second of his life in god.
Not at all. There are many spiritual beliefs systems that do not require divinity. There is a difference between spiritualism, and theism.

However, when governments create, and are encouraged to create, laws that incorporate the religious views of one group of citizens into the enforced policies that affect the entire population, then it becomes a concern for me, and other atheists.
Secular Humanism has been at the center of much public policy for 80 years. It has been at the center of forced deficit spending for much of that time. The assumptions behind it are as religious as any deistic religion. It overlaps significantly with the teachings of Christ. The big difference is that voluntary acts of charity are the heart of the teachings of Christ. Big government secularists believe in the righteousness of a proper system, not the choice to be a righteous person.

When the Son of Man comes as King and all the angels with him, he will sit on his royal throne, and the people of all the nations will be gathered before him. Then he will divide them into two groups, just as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the righteous people at his right and the others at his left. Then the King will say to the people on his right, ‘Come, you that are blessed by my Father! Come and possess the kingdom which has been prepared for you ever since the creation of the world. I was hungry and you fed me, thirsty and you gave me a drink; I was a stranger and you received me in your homes, naked and you clothed me; I was sick and you took care of me, in prison and you visited me.’ The righteous will then answer him, ‘When, Lord, did we ever see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you a drink? When did we ever see you a stranger and welcome you in our homes, or naked and clothe you? When did we ever see you sick or in prison, and visit you?’ The King will reply, ‘I tell you, whenever you did this for one of the least important of these followers of mine, you did it for me!

    YOU GOT IT!

Get YOUR fucking religion out of my schools, shorts and off the public dais. Period. Until you quit trying to save my ass, I and your GOD, are "persona" non grata. Wanna really piss me off? Use the Falwell, Robertson, Ralph Reed, Santorum, Cruz, Carson "BRAND" of Christianity to sell me this shit and I'll go to the mat to fight them and you every hypocritical step of the way.

Now if the RELIGIOUS FREAKS out there don't like my language, TOUGH SHIT, I've watched this FRAUD perpetuated on my country for 40 years now!

Pimping exploits women. Laws against prostitution necessitate pimping. There's another, venerable institution by which women have been trading sex for economic support for centuries. It's called "marriage."

If laws against prostitution were really aimed at protecting women, police would target the customers, not the prostitutes.

As for most of the rest of this thread, what I see is high levels of intolerance on both sides.

Prostitution is legal in most parts of the developed world, and the only regulations concern hygiene and health - that is as it should be. I have never been to a prostitute because I have no need to, but I do not hold a moral position upon what someone else chooses to do with his/her body.

Well said, Czernobog . If the OP is your words, then you should be a writer. It's nice clicking on a topic without a copy and paste. Israel is a Jewish state, Pakistan is an Islamic state, and the U.S. is a Christian nation.

Precognition is a part of metaphysics where science is having good results. We are just starting to understand the universe and the mind.

Ask him what he thought about the Obama Administration suing the Little Sisters of the Poor.

Yes the righteous indignation of the mighty state against those who would oppose the holy right of abortion.

Obama is a tool. Thankfully he's done with the exception of TPP and commuting the sentences of more cannabis users.
