A religion based on sci-if..... like a woman turning into a pillar of salt, the Red Sea parting, a man walking on water, an ark carrying two of everything...talk about sci fi! What makes one a cult and one a religion? The number of members

You will excuse me for having the same personal reaction to people believing in a guy walking on water, turning water into wine, creating the world out of nothing, the male humans out of dirt, and the female humans out of a dude's rib cage, some guy splitting the red sea, a burning bush telling folks words of wisdom.. you name it. Harry Potter has nothing on those stories.
Lo...I saw this after I posted mine...

from what i am gathering from the interview its not quite that simple. They all know if they leave ...the people they leave behind will be in serious danger/trouble. They also know if they leave they will be cut off from the people they love most. They also know if they try and leave they will be hunted down and brought back. Another cute trick is they get sued for all living and instructional costs.

Life changing decisions are rarely simple. Especially when you face being attacked

i would tell this to my mother just to mess with her head...

tell me mom... what do you think the new group of christians were to the romans? Nothing more then a pop up cult.

No, they were murdered by the government. We watched it all live on tv. And the government wouldn't let the firetrucks in to put out the buildings the government tanks set on fire.

Doubtful. Bad movies get made every year. Bad film roles get taken by actors every year.

How are people so stupid as to believe a science fiction book written only a few decades ago is an actual religion? It is unreal

no religion should have tax exempt status.
Yeah, its ridiculous when religious people call other religions "cults." Their beliefs are just as ridiculous as scientology. But I guess to some, the longer ago it happened, the more likely there was magic and other ridiculous things that happened.
    Thanks from Isalexi
