He wasn't speaking to validity of a religion or not. But for something to be called a cult, there are specific criteria.

Oh man, when I was in college, I was walking down the street with some friends and an attractive young lady approached us, asking if we knew anything about Scientology and inviting us to take a few minutes to learn about it, just a few blocks away. Once at their offices we were all separated, taken into separate rooms when I was paired with the young lady who approached us....All we did was sit in chairs, about ten feet apart and stare at one another. She did not say anything the whole time and neither did I.....It was weird to me, even with the open mind of a young person still experiencing new things in the world. After, she took took me to someone else who tried to sell me about $100 worth of books by L. Ron Hubbard....The sell was hard and that put me off, causing me to be suspicious and so I said I did not want to do anything at that time......My friends had signed up for the books and written checks.....I told them, once we had left about my bad feeling and they went back, returned the books and got their checks back....but I was truly amazed at the apparent ease that people could be sold on things like that.

They didn't because the person behind the whole thing, pushing for attacking them was not Janet Rino or Bill Clinton, but Hillary -and she wanted them made an example of what happens if you dare defy the government. Ruby Ridge was the same mentality.
