I don't think Democrats will not be satisfied, until WORKING people give up to 75% of their incomes to the Government.

Where the problems will come, once they finally install their Socialist Utopia, is when those from the WORKING class look around, and say, "Hell, why am I working 40-60 hours a week, for a few dollars more, when I could just quit, and have others take care of me. Maybe do some work on the side, where I can get paid "under the table.""

It doesn't affect me if eight control it or a hundred or a thousand.

If Bill Gates gave up his fortune tomorrow it would not change my life, my income, my bills one iota.

Trump's self exaggerations of the golden touch brings laughable grimness to the land of democracy; as even as everything he touches turns to shit, in Trump's little narcissticly diseased mind, that shit will be gold.

Unfortunately that shit will be a reality to those who have carved a golden calf from his droppings. The looming possibility of healthcare costs ballooning by 50% under this new act of carving the former pharaoh's face from the hall of kings, will bring grief, to those who voted for Trump, yes, even as they turn their noses up to Obamacare, or ACA, they will find themselves paying higher, and higher, and higher premiums; to whit, an A-lister in the demonic hall of moral decay, will be attending and cheering on the scavenger beast from Queens, as he pillages and rapes the landscape of this country, bringing more poverty, and more discord, war, and strife, all the while calling it manna from heaven.

Manna from heaven, and what in the hell makes those who have running clean water, electricity, roads, and generally peaceful hills, dales and glens think they deserve more?

When eight men earn more than one third the population of the entire earth, the landscape for upheaval, war, and revolution roils and rolls like molten lava on the face of a volcano's sides. The awesome advent of destruction, is very real, and while sane and faithful push back against the tide of human misery, that bellwether warning of bad tidings rings low, and breaks the sensitive crystal sensibilities of the realists.

The realists know that this land of democracy has built a glass house on the labor of the slave, the disenfranchised, the foreigner, the poor, the refugee. Those that flee for a better life, find themselves trapped in the miasma of societal strife; that everlasting hypocrisy of MINE, not YOURS, continues to bleed the good fellowship of the worst animal ever created by whatever creator you might see; MAN.

Never has a natural fit gone so wrong, so mutant, so diabolical, and while the shame of past sins, caused the human head to hang upon the chest, Now is the time for such acts of inhumane disregard, to be celebrated; yes, even turned to gold.

Gold contains arsenic, a deadly compound to the human heart, one that can stop the breath, given enough draughts.

Beware the Midas touch, ye may find the all conquering worm, as the only friend left.

    Regards
    Pace
    PACE,

Processed gold does not contain arsenic. Arsenic is present in some gold ores, but the refining process removes it.

    Sorry to ruin you conclusion.

A perfect demonstration of the conservative ideology. Any change that doesn't benefit you personally isn't worth the cost or effort.

Are you suggesting that three billion people take "personal responsibility" with regard to addressing this astronomical imbalance of socioeconomic wealth?

    Mr. Djinn,

How do (or should I say why would) you take personal responsibility for the actions of others?

Thank you for playing, you can pick up your year supply of Rice A Roni and $5 gift card from Walmart on the way out the door.

One lesson of history that the Right always forgets.....or simply re-writes into "alternative history"...

    is that Plutocracies ALWAYS...EVENTUALLY....collapse.

The slaves or workers always rise up against the rich Nobles or rich Elites. Either benevolently, as in the Progressive Era of the early 1900s in the United States, Great Britain, etc.....or violently, from the French Revolution to the Russian Revolution.

The Right, egged on by dishonest Rightwing Media (firmly in the pocket of the Wealthy), has been convinced that "the Government" and "Liberals" are that "rich Elite"....and that THEY (and their Leaders) are the "workers rising up against oppression"...

but we all see the truth. Conservatism, especially late 20th/early 21st Century conservatism....is a push for Plutocracy in the name of "freedom and liberty".

Look at the current President....a billionaire, even one known for cheating his workers (contractors)....cheered as the "hero of the working man" and who RAN on that false image.

But Trump is no Teddy or Franklin Roosevelt....the wealthy man who takes pro-active action to HELP the working class. The actual economics that the GOP Congress will pass....will be the same Ayn Rand "lift yourself up by your own bootstraps" and more tax cuts for the rich economics they've pushed for decades.

The few jobs he "brings back" or "saves"?...will be at the cost of massive tax breaks for multi-billion dollar corporations.....while eliminating health care and education funding and environomental and labor protection. One step forward....five steps back for Joe Sixpack.

But Conservatives won't understand what EVEN REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTS like Teddy Roosevelt and Eisenhower knew....or what John F. Kennedy said-

"Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable."
Thanks from knight, Friday13 and OldGaffer
