If that is your belief, then fine -- accept an eschatology where your ultimate purpose is to become worm shit. That is not what jesus promised and it is the furthest thing from what christianity is saying.

    duh?
    duh?

I never said such a thing.

I don't know who you are reading but certainly not me.

You are questioning the philosophical merit of christian soteriology, are you not?

If your idea of gnosis does not relate, in any way, to the philosophy of salvation, why would it matter to you what other people believe?

It matters because of the harm I see the religious do to the rest of us as well as themselves.

Both Christianity and Islam, basically, have developed into intolerant, homophobic and misogynous religions.

Both religions have grown themselves by the sword instead of good deeds.

Jesus said we would know his people by their works and deeds.

That means Jesus would not recognize Christians and Muslims as his people, and neither do I.

Yes, and this "afterlife" they see, like white lights is just a chemical reaction to organs shutting down.

What is the harm brought upon you, specifically, by a christian's specific belief in divine love? Hmmmm?

The catholic church is tolerant. Just because it will not compromise its moral or spiritual teachings doesn't mean it is intolerant. In fact, it is very lenient as far as the exercise of an individual's conscience is concerned.

Sorry but it was european monarchs who used the christian faith to expand their kingdoms, not the other way around.

You do understand that passage refers to individuals, not entire kingdoms, do you?

The way you speak in general terms, it is you who is intolerant.

    Duh?
