If we are his children, then why fuck us up so much in the first place, then hold us to standards that are equally fucked up? Sounds psychotic to me. No wonder religious people are among the most disturbed in society.
Honestly, I worked through this crap before I remember ever hearing Carlin. Raised a Catholic. Got in a serious argument at 13 with a nun in Catechism about this kind of shit.

(I was OVER Catholicism by the time I was 17)

No I don't dismiss any of them.

A common belief is that all gods are actually the same god, he just appears in different forms to different cultures which makes perfect sense.

Not everyone will follow the same version of a diety that others will. It is the belief and faith god wants, not the name you call him.

People also assume god created the universe and life in an instant but he very well could have used the Big Bang and evolution to do it.

Take Adam and Eve. Adam was created from dust or coming from earth which is the same way science says life began.

Then eve is created from Adam which would be cells dividing and creating more life.

Science does not seek a "reason" why something happens, so it is illogical to assert that science says the Big Bang happened for no reason. Science asks how, not "why."

There is no logic that leads to a supernatural supreme being. You need religion for that; science will not get you to such a conclusion.

Creationism is not a scientific theory. It is pure religion.

You also fail to recognize that our purpose here is not to live happily for a mere 80 years or so, although that would be nice, but it is to prepare for eternity where there will be no suffering.

Look at it this way, if you are right what will happen? Nothing, you will just blink out of existence so you have lost nothing but if you are wrong look at what you will be missing out on. You also will have free will in heaven so wouldn't rather go there and tell God to fuck off in person if you hate him so much?
What a sadistic god that would let innocent little children die in agony when he could just make rain....no, all death isn't agony. Do you really believe that you were going to float up to heaven and there will be no suffering and you will have nonstop chocolate? How do you suspend logic? It's almost like a child. When you die...it's over!
I always questioned God and my husband , an atheist said to me "if God is benevolent and there is a heaven would he be so cruel to deny you entrance because you didn't believe he existed?"
I wouldn't tell God to fuck off, because there is no invisible man in the sky. Do you think he might turn me into a pillar of salt but at least I'll be able to walk on water

Until proven otherwise...as has been done. Intelligent design is all around us all, every day all day.

You want to see real faith...believe that a big bang created all this order, created healing, created reproduction...

No. There is nothing scientific in creationism, period. Never can be, never will be. To say otherwise is to deliberately mischaracterize science.

That is a religious belief, not science.
