Yes, it is that hard for me to understand because it sounds like bullshit. You have no way of gauging the level of belief here. For all you know, the person in the OP "truly believe what they say". This is just unwarranted feelings of superiority.

Yes, I do. When Christy Christian says "God is my healer", discovers a lump under her breast, proceeds to her doctor, rather than her church, is given a diagnosis of cancer, receives chemotherapy destroying the cancer, did God heal her, or did medicine heal her? Please do not try to rationalise any "God directed the hands of her doctors bullshit"; just answer the question. Did medicine heal her? Yes, or no?

So much for not mocking beliefs. Maybe a guy who actually defended the "If you like your plan you can keep it" statement long after that ship sailed shouldn't be so hard on other peoples' faith. You say they believe in something unproven. You kept believing in something long after it was disproven.
God works in all kinds of ways.
I ask again, what concern is it of yours how someone thinks they were healed?
About 6 times a year parents have their kids taken away from them in Canada because they won't let the kid have medical treatment to save their life rather than praying and waiting for god to fix them.

About twice a year in Canada, a parent or parents are convicted of murder for doing this till the kid dies.

Let the deluded fools kill themselves, but I don't think they have the right to kill their children.
    Thanks from Blueneck and Babba

To be fair, Christians hold simultaneous beliefs about faith and practicality by rationalizing that yes, the doctor cured me, but God controls the doctor. That goes for just about everything in life for many Christians.

One would have to ask if other patients who aren't Christians have the same outcomes after treatment and if so, maybe God isn't the one who deserves the credit.

But the answer will be along the lines of "man can't understand god's ways" or something similar.

As I have told any religious person who asked, what would convince me that there is a god of the bible, or of the koran or whatever, my answer is statistics to show that outcomes in health, wealth, happiness or any positive was better for believers than for non-believers.

    I'm still waiting.

You'll probably have a long wait. People made out of straw move very slowly.

So you sneer at Christians while touting your own psychic abilities.
This isn't what you said. You said it tarnishes people who "who truly believe what they say." Exact words. So unless you're a mind reader you have no idea what the faith level of the people you're attacking is.

Isn't that like saying that because sometimes people who follow all the advice their doctor gave them still die of cancer then there's nothing to medical science?

Thread derailer maybe, but strawman, nope.
