    Really? I mean, seriously, REALLY?!?!?

I just saw this on my Facebook, and literally spit coffee all over myself laughing so hard:

Soooo...unless, when you find that lump under your breast, you immediately run off to church, instead of calling to make an appointment with your doctor's office, I'm gonna have to call bullshit on this one.

Praying when you have the "sniffles", and praising God when they pass, doesn't make God your healer. Going to church, and praying away the lump under your breast, or your pneumonia, or your broken arm makes God your healer. God is your "healer" when you go to God when the shit gets real. If not, don't tell me God is your healer. Your doctor is your healer; you just refuse to give your doctor the credit he deserves!

When "you" paint it as mainstream , it's amusing.

Except the sentiment is mainstream. I am not suggesting that mainstream Christians don't go to doctors. That's the problem. Mainstream Christians happily go to doctors whenever they have shit that needs fixing, then, go to church on Sunday, and thank God for "healing" the shit the doctors fucking healed! How about instead of thanking God, you thank the doctor for putting themselves tens of thousands of dollars into debt, and spending years of training in order to learn what they needed to learn in order to fix the shit that you want to credit your make-believe God for "healing"?

How do you know that they didn't thank the doctor?

How is that any of your concern anyways? And who told you that it's ok to laugh at other peoples' beliefs?

People on Facebook are always posting shit like that. I have several people who I know who do this and while I find it rather annoying that they are proselytizing, I'm not going to "unfriend" them. I like them despite their Christian beliefs that make me uncomfortable.

See that's the thing most religious people never consider. They think they are doing you a big favor by putting up with you although you're an unbeliever, it never occurs to them that it's not that easy for you to be nice to them when they start talking about God and the rest of it. To me it's a little like when my sister starts in with her numerology crap and Alex Jones conspiracy theories.

Christians get outwardly offending at things that they feel violate their beliefs without concern for how it makes others feel, but they never think about how others might find their religion awkward for others who don't subscribe.

It's hard to know how to act around people who accept as fact things that aren't remotely logical.

You seem to be having a hard time separating beliefs from bullshit. But, then, that has been rather a running theme in the US, recently. I don't have a problem with one's beliefs; I don't even feel the need to mock one's beliefs - wellll...not overly much, anyway. I have a problem with someone spewing bullshit, and calling it a belief, and will mock that ignorance all day long.

If you are going claim that God gets credit for healing you, then you had damned well better have healed your happy ass through prayer, and not through medicine. Otherwise, God didn't heal you of shit; a fucking doctor did, and claiming that "God" healed you is a lie! That isn't a "belief"; it is bullshit.
