You don't want to leave the earth, so to make yourself feel better you buy into the greatest scam in human history...religion. That's you world...don't automatically think that your world can overtake mine. It can't. Just as my world can't overtake yours. You believe whatever you want...just don't expect me to follow you down the foolish path that is well worn from people like you for the last 2000 years. It's not real to me.
    Not at all.

I actually live with zero fear and frankly, I am just sort of biding my time until I can leave this place.

And I am not trying to convince you of anything, it's you who are hanging out in the religious forum.

You are either searching for something or trolling or trying to convince people of your atheistic view.

Why do you think everything happens is God's doing?

Although the Bible doesn't specify it is my view that he created the world, did some intervention in the beginning times to get his name out there, then let the world go the way it will.

Once His message was known, which it is for the most part, there is no reason for Him to interfere.

If there is an earthquake it's probably just because of plate tectonics, not God.

I have to laugh at your question. There can be an earthquake and 5000 people are killed and three people survive and who gets the credit for the survivors? They thank God ...what is his message by the way.
So if there is an earthquake it's because of tectonic plates but if the people survive it's because of God

I thank God all the time.

It doesn't mean I think He intervened to save me though.

Heck, the idea that god is a benevolent, kind, understanding and forgiving being is a new iteration of him from the text of the old testament. The book of the Jews describe a vengeful, frightening, punishing, overbearing entity. Men didn't like that it didn't fit what they wanted to worship and so, voila! The new testament and now he's a whole new dude. Proves to me that god is simply a made up idea first to control the masses as a punishing god and then to smooth over the hard feelings created by his anger as an all-knowing, all forgiving and infallible friend. It's all such bullshit.

No, the Old testament is the first 2 ages of man.

GOD gave mankind the opportunity to fix themselves in the age of man, Pre-law of Moses

man could not bridge the gap of sin

then God sent guidelines via the Law, this is the age of the Law..

Man could not keep the law and bridge the gap of sin that separates us from God

God became man and paid the price for sin.. bridging the gap between God and man due to sin. This is the Age of Grace
