I have no problem if Jews, Muslims or Christians wish to resolve disputes using their holy books...I have a problem with using Sharia law in lieu of and skirting US law.

Sharia law is any religious law. It may have a different moniker...but the end result is the same.I know you don't like Muslims doing what Christians or Jews or any other religious group does.

It is fact that daddy Duggar wanted to cover up Josh's sexual assaut. It is fact the The Duggars wanted the church to punish Josh per the Bible not state laws.

Those are the facts. That is Christian Sharia law.

Actually, kingrat is correct. Not all religious law is the same, much less has the same name.

Sharia law goes past law in a holy book. Not every conflict is covered in any law book secular or religious.

Sharia law is the mediation of conflicts using holy book as a guide.

Conflict in Churches or other religious institutions is inevitable. After all, religious organizations are made up of human beings who bring their emotions and personalities with them to Sunday services, choir practice, board meetings and other Church activities. Consequently, we should not be surprised that conflicts can easily arise between Churches, within Churches, between church groups, or among its individual members

Canon law does not presume to govern people of different religions. Sharia law governs all people living within an islamic state.

Whatever way you look at it, they are very different.

Jewish religious law (individual laws as well as the collection) is called halacha, not "sharia."
