But you just said that Christianity doesn't guarantee salvation.....so why believe in something that is "impotent" or even "false"?

No....just in the Old Testament. That was the same "God", right?

No, I'd love to see Rors engage in a serious and non-angry discussion of his articles of faith.

But I've found that impossible. He gets defensive....likely over the fact he's never examined them.....and may even be scared to.

He'd NEVER do what kingrat does.

It is not guaranteed but possible.

The same reason you believe whatever it is you believe.

What might be meaningful for you may not be absolutely true and what can be proven to be absolutely true may not have meaning for you.

I've made OPs where I declare the "God of the Bible" immoral....using the Old Testament. In fact....THIS IS ONE.

I think if Ian Jeffrey, a Jew, wanted to weigh in....he can.

According to the Bible, Jesus was executed......and all because God/Jesus Himself made up a Rule that said he had to be......to change previous Rules that He Himself just made up.

Human life is meaningless to God in the Bible....just his bloodthirsty "Rules".
