Nobody was ever, ever, ever any less than a complete gentleman to me. (I never saw any women panhandle, anywhere in Cleveland.)

Homeless men in Cleveland should be teaching etiquette classes to all the OTHER men.

Ever scraped up a dollar and bought a cheeseburger from McDonald's to split with a dog? I have. Ever taken a dog to the creek so he can drink some water? I have.
All this is happening right now to me. So yes, I've been hungry.
The phone program is federal. There is no reason not to have one.

I lost my job, lost my house, everything I owned, but most of all I regret giving up my dog.

But at the time, it was a chance for him to be taken care of, my friend said the people had a ten year old kid, so I hope he was good to him and that my friend wasn't just bullshitting me.

What kind of resources are you finding in Georgia, any good?

My first stint outside was in So. Cal, who have more resources than Wa state, but you have to apply and that takes time, and there were few other resources there at the time, I knew one place that would give a single man one modest bag of food every two months...

What might do you, would be a town like Issaquah Wa...

They have a great hot meal program, a super food bank/clothing bank, the town is beautiful and the living is easy...

I always looked for a medium-sized town, one that has some resources, but not full-blown missions, and I'd also try and pick a prosperous town, not a "ghetto" because "that's where homeless are supposed to be."

Sometimes a change of venue can make all the difference, think you car could make it across country?

    Thx

But no, the COLA adjustment is automatic and SS got an adjustment for the first 4 years of Obama and before that.

But @knight give us some of the particulars like your state, and perhaps we can put our heads and resources together and help you with this predicament.

    Ever been to Washington State?

    Thx
I was in Puyallup Washington in 1979 for my uncle's funeral. I loved that state. Haven't been back since.

Yes, I'm ok right now. Just send it to a GA Walmart, any in the state works.
    And thank you.

I also get tired of lies. One guy said there is no food at home. He wanted cold cuts, bread, and a 2-liter of soda. I said well here is $5 for as much of that as you can get with $5.

A few months later at another store I had started to root around for money when he launched into the same story I said man, if you nee help eating on a regular basis you need to go to the mission and/or food banks. And get a new story.
    Thanks from Madeline

Well, it's still as beautiful as ever, and nice warm winters and cool summers, and fresh water even falls from the sky.

I love it here and never looked back and this state has been very good to me.

C'mon up, I'll even help you out with gas money etc. and help you get outfitted here.

    Thx

One time we chewed-out a young tramp for asking for 1$ instead of a quarter or just some change.

Yes, there is even etiquette and do's and dont's among tramps.

    Thx
