My dad used to say, " If someone tells you they're a Christian without you having asked, hold on to your wallet and hide the children!" It was funny but as he said, there's a lot of truth in funny sometime.

I think that today, we would call them false news.

Here is some real and true news.

    Wise.

That hardly explains your hatred of the thread. I never said I was a Christian. I have said I was basically the opposite and a Gnostic Christian.

I never claimed you said you were a Christian. My quote was in support of your Gnostic views. I don't like any thread about religion because it's so toxic when mixed with political issues.

Ah. Thanks for clearing that up and thanks for the kudos.

I see theology from religions and philosophy from politics as both trying to find the best rules and laws to live by.

Philosophy has bested theology by a long shot but theology can be used as the yin to the philosophy yang, if I can put it that way.

I think we, via secular legal systems, have basically pulled out any decent morality out of theologies, but their simplicity is sometimes better to look at for a quick point into a direction than philosophy.

If one wants to learn of morality from a fresh start then he will get a lot more out of studying the philosophers than any theology.

    Regards
    DL

I don't have any idea what you try to do on what reasons. Perhaps you try to flee from the hell of your thoughts in strange fantasies.

I am here to compare my God's morals to yours. Are you ready to do so?
Moral? What's that? Something to eat?

    Your link did not work
Where do you live? Turkey? China? Russia? Arabia? ...

but I put up a couple above that you might look at from a moral standpoint
I don't have a moral point of view to the world - that's why I'm able to speak with you. What you or anyone else thinks about moral or not is not my decision criterion.

and opine as to the satanic morals you see emanating from your vile demiurge.
"Demiurge" - nice old word. Indeed Jesus was a carpenter (tekton) as his father Joseph was and god is the creator god. So both of his fathers are manufacturers. What means "vile"? ... "abscheulich"? ... hmm - strange ... What do you really think about by using the word "demiurge"?

    Further.
    Further?

    "Catholics were and are Christians."
That's what I said and what - by the way - doesn't mean that not-Catholics are Christians or not-Christians. The wrong use of denials in discussions is one of the greatest problems in the English speaking world.

Jesus said that anyone who actually believed in him would be able to do as he did and more.

If you or anyone else here is a real Christian, what are you waiting for to save the world?
I save the world. Better to say: I try to do so. Ask my friends, the birds.

I suggest that, according to Jesus' own words and standards, that you nor anyone else here are real believers in Jesus.

    Prove me and Jesus wrong.

    Regards
    DL
You have absolutely nothing to do with Jesus - what every Christian knows, who reads what you say. You speak like the devil personally who asked Jesus to jump from a skyscraper - ah sorry: mountain - so everyone would be able to see how the angels of the Lord were saving him. No - this is not the way. More than a cross on the own shoulders no one should expect who tries to follow the Lord. You are a 'militant' atheist, a god-denier. Nothing what you say has only a little to do with knowledge about the Christian religion. The word "god" is for you only a play of your thoughts. Perhaps you should try to think with your hands.

Your father was a wise man. In a normal world it should not be necessary to have to tell someone "I'm a Christian" - to try to be one is as easy as difficult enough.

Do you try to say you are a Satanist who believes not in the devil - and no one else should?

    Va, pensiero

    Va, pensiero, sull’ali dorate;
va, ti posa sui clivi, sui colli,
    ove olezzano tepide e molli
    l’aure dolci del suolo natal!

    Del Giordano le rive saluta,
    di Sionne le torri atterrate…
O mia patria sì bella e perduta!
O membranza sì cara e fatal!

    Arpa d’or dei fatidici vati,
    perché muta dal salice pendi?
    Le memorie nel petto raccendi,
ci favella del tempo che fu!

O simile di Solima ai fati
traggi un suono di crudo lamento,
o t’ispiri il Signore un concento
che ne infonda al patire virtù

Jesus does not condem you to hell, Jesus gave you the choice of going to heaven if you want, and not if you do not want to.

Don't blame Jesus for YOUR choice.
