No. I know the plot and it is horrifying, but I cannot tolerate torture porn movies.

It is being remade as we speak. So is The Mist and Cujo.

Problem is, none of the remakes are by directors and actors with the ability to convey the psychological horror a la Hitchcock's Pyscho. Each relies on better "stunts", etc.

    Meh. Why bother?

The "worst" thriller movie I ever saw was this one:

Traumatized me even worse than The Exorcist, and Denzel should have gotten an Oscar for it. If you haven't seen or read the book, it is well-worth a gander. Mind-blowing psychological horror.

I don't 'do' true Horror Movies. I FF through CM if the episode shows too much horror. I do like psychological thrillers.

In fact, there was a film called Class Action, starring Gene Hackman and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, involving a case similar to the Ford Pinto issue.

I have a copy of that! Didn't even know it was a King story.

It just can't transfer to the screen, imo.

It's his creepiest supernatural horror novel, IMO.

    Well worth a read.
