    How The Christian Right Justifies Trump.

    Want to know why so many are walking away?

    After I left the Southern Baptist Church I was still on the Prayer Chain. I was sent one of these Sermons,comparing Trump to Winston Churchill.

    They received a blistering answer from me. If I had even thought of going back this did it for me.

    I spent 4 years listenening to a bigoted Preacher preach his hate of Obama,love of guns,against abortion and gays. All because my many friends wanted me to stay.

    Today I am in a Church that teaches one Church, love of all.

    And that's it. Their "Christian values" are worthless rhetoric....

    because clearly if it furthers a POLITICAL agenda, they'll abandon them to support a multi-married, multi-adulterous...PROUDLY adulterous....gambling tycoon who LIES about "reading the Bible".

    I have mixed feelings about your post.

    In Proverbs 14 : 12 we read:

    "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death."

    Preachers have a duty and an obligation to speak out about the horrors and sinfulness of things like abortion and gun control. Some things are pure evil and the politicians that represent them and those that compromise with them must be opposed. On that count, it sounds as if you want to compromise with evil.

    The Bible teaches us that:

    "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness..." II timothy 3 : 16

    And HOW did Jesus show us how to deal with evil people?


    "And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables..." John 2: 15

    So Jesus encounters evil people and makes a scourge (a weapon consisting of rocks tied to rope), beats the beans out of the money-changers, flips over the tables and runs them off. And you have a problem because a minister denounces evil? That part you and I will have to disagree on. Just because you love people doesn't mean that you tolerate the evil.

    Now, let us get to Trump:

    I voted for Trump as the lesser of two evils. It is a vote I question every day, but the only consolation is that it could have been worse. Those of you on the left are as bad, if not worse than those on the right. I've heard these intolerant views about the right, but you have no problem with the left, for example, Hillary Clinton (as a U.S. Senator) voted for the same, exact wall at the southern border that Donald Trump eventually settled for. Intolerance is intolerance - any way you slice it.

    Having said that, Donald Trump is not a Republican NOR is he a Christian. Donald Trump preys upon the fears and prejudices of his supporters. Any so - called "Christian" that promotes the policies of Donald Trump is little more than a political hack that has no business standing behind the pulpit. The right which is comprised mostly of whites are people that have sadly lost their way in life. Our Declaration of Independence (which is the foundational charter of the Rights of man - according to its author) plainly states:

    "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness..."

    The right hates and loathes this concept. Man is born with unalienable Rights. They are not given by man and not subject to the jurisdiction of mortal man. The primary purpose of government is to guarantee those Rights. Unalienable Rights have nothing, zilch, nada to do with the privileges and benefits of citizenship. As William Blackstone, the man whose writings had the greatest impact on the formation of our legal system, wrote:

    “The principle view of human law is, or ought always to be, to explain, protect, and enforce such rights as are absolute.

    The pompous arrogance of mainstream churchianity (as differentiated from Christianity) is one that teaches intolerance and divisiveness; it denies unalienable Rights on the premise that man made laws trump those unalienable Rights. It leads people into creating a King out of a political propaganda prostitute.

    Then the problem is, once you've made a religion out of hating the right, you begin to accept this equally obnoxious nonsense that God is all about love... except that a lot of you denouncing Trump on religious grounds don't practice what you preach. You're here on a daily basis to rail against Trump while supporting misguided churches that tolerate evil... be it those who would attack your Right to keep and bear Arms OR those who would tolerate murderers, pedophiles, sexual deviants, etc.

    I've witnessed many come to the defense of Muslims just to prove their tolerance and, in the Koran, gays are to be killed for practicing homosexuality. By contrast, many are on this board denouncing every moment of Donald Trump's life, hoping that something bad will befall the man. These same people that cannot go a day without fretting over Trump give aid and comfort to those whose religion is certainly no more objectionable than what the right is peddling.

    Maybe you should look at the big picture and take a hint from this rant.

    Because it came down to two responses-

    1. Non-Trump supporting people pointing out the hypocrisy of "Conservative Christians".

    and 2. Trump supporting "Conservative Christians" making excuses for their hypocrisy.
