Remember, the Romans were perfectly happy that the Priest were fleecing the common people as long as they kept them in check.
What's your point? I mean...why are you responding to me? Nothing you've said contradicts anything I've said.

It wasn't the Romans or Jews who were solely responsible. It was all of humanity. He died for our sins. Don't blame the Jew. Blame the guy with hated in his heart for that Jew oror anyone else. To blame only one or the other group dangerously misses the point.

The evidence for the not-existence of a soul is a dead body. No one survives the own death - but never someone will be able to make the experience of the own death. Then last own step is always unknowable. With other words: A soul is able not to exist, but not able to die.

Almost every primitive society that ever existed believed in some form of afterlife, that does not make it so.
Human beings of the species homo sapiens sapiens exist since 300000 years. 2/3 of this time no one buried anyone. The eldest grave is about 95000 years old. What do you understand under "primitive"? People, who bury their ancestors, because they believe in a form of afterlife, or people who will produce "soylent green" in the future of NY?
