    Notice here the FFRF writes a letter to the President of the University of Iowa warning about the Muslim prayer rooms. No follow up, no lawsuit. Why?
    So you can ask the question, but you can't go find the answer? If you stop looking for answers when you can just conclude what you want instead, that's the opposite of clear, rational thinking.

    To tell the truth, I find this story--also from the University of Iowa--far more concerning: University of Iowa to offer Islamic Psychology class | The Gazette

    "Islamic psychology?" Considering many consider psychology to be a "Jewish science," this is kind of disturbing. Maybe as an anthropology course, but as an actual psych course? Bizarre.

    And as long as they are open to everyone. They can't object to the Islamic Students Association getting a room (or two rooms) anymore than they can keep the gay/straight alliance club from getting a room (or the Circle K service club or anyone).

    @aboutenough

    The FFRF isn't filing a suit, because the University of Iowa changed its policy a month or two later making the rooms "reservable" by any group of students. Last I heard, they were reconsidering their policy on "long-term" reservations which could result in violations.

    UI's prayer spaces unlikely to change with regent policy

    You kid, but where I live the standard uniform for Muslim school girls is skin tight soccer t-shirts (Vancouver or the big England or Spamish teams) with skin tight lululemon leggings. Not a thing left to the imagination. Plus a headscarf.

    Because - you know - modesty. Lol

    The rooms would have never happened if it weren't for the Muslims requesting it. Looks like they are the only ones using them, so it looks like the government is backing the Muslim religion in this instance.

    Not legally relevant, so long as the existing policy conforms to the law.

    Your conclusion does not follow from the stated premise. Anyone can use the rooms, so the government is not backing any religion, or even any particular non-religious group.

    A Jewish science? I am a hard scientist who spent most of his working life with engineers. All of us mocked social scientists, mostly jokingly, but I have never heard the term "Jewish science".

    I followed my granddaughter to various venues towards a provincial volleyball championship and that was the first time I experienced that. Sprayed on jeans barely above their naughty bits, a sort of T shirt that barely covered their boobs but from Adam's apple to bottom of chin and from cheekbone to cheekbone and to just over the eyebrows a burqa. Real modest. NOT.

    Huh? Because Muslims were the only ones asking, that's favoring one group over another? It's the rules that matter--the outcome is determined by the interests of local parties from all religions. Do you suppose the Christians didn't know that they could meet on campus? That might be a kind of discrimination, if the information were withheld from them somehow.
