What's wrong with the source? Are you questioning whether what the pope said was true or not? Did you not SEE and HEAR him speak in his own words in the video that is enclosed? That tells the whole story with an English translation. So, don't try to make this about the "source." It's about what the pope said in his own words. He is stressing church over God. That is wrong. Very wrong! That can only imperil many lives as he is very much misleading his followers if he believes that the church is over or better than God and that Catholics need to obey church teachings over God's teachings.

That is very incorrect! Christians indeed do have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. And why do we? Because Christians believe strongly that they are not self-made creatures. That they therefore owe their life to the Creator of all...God. Of course I would not expect an atheist to know and understand that. You much prefer to believe that there is no God. That is your own personal thinking. But to we Christians, we adhere to Jesus Christ as the Only Beloved Son of God who was sent by His Heavenly Father, God, to save mankind. He succeeded in doing that by offering His life in exchange for our sins as was declared to be His Divine mission.

Therefore, our relationship with Jesus Christ is a very personal one. We are ever thankful for His becoming incarnate and teaching mankind how to Love and how to Save themselves in order to be able to enter into Heaven at their appointed time. That, in and of itself, is so worthy of our praise for Him.

The source is a pretty obscure religious tract website. The first word in the headline is "Antichrist:" The whole thing is just a ridiculously alarmist post trying to pretend that some guy is the devil.

Even you are so wrapped up in irrational hatred that you insist on writing the word Pope smaller than other words, as though that makes God proud of you for something so asinine and inconsequential. There's another poster here who does that with the word Obama. It's something an angry 12 year old might do. If you want to have an adult conversation, you should act like an adult.

Yes, it has been their doctrine and that is incorrect teaching and a big reason why I left the Catholic Church many years ago. The teachings of the pope are dangerous! Catholics must know and understand that and follow only Jesus Christ and His teachings and not that of the RCC that is not now and has never been above God and Jesus Christ and never will be.

The Pope did not suggest that the Catholic church is above God or Jesus. He merely stated that one needs a faith community in order to have a personal relationship with Jesus. It's fine if you disagree with that, but don't purposely misinterpret what the Pope said.

That is the same argument that Satan uses, per the Holy Bible, to try to convince mankind that he does not exist. Only he does! Jesus knows that as the devil tried to tempt Him on the mountain but Jesus cast him aside.

It is not hatred but rather pity for a man who was elected to a high position by other men and who consequently believes that he is the vicar of Jesus Christ. He is not. The writing of the word pope in smaller letters thus signifies that he should not be exulted by man to attempt to be made an equal to God which he is most certainly not and can never be. That is sinful to even think that. He is merely a man, a human and the leader of a sect that many do not even believe is Christian-based due to its teachings.

You might keep on defending man. But I keep on praising and glorifying God through Jesus Christ!

Bernie and Jane pretended they had an audience with the Pope. Bernie lied just like Trump does all the time.
