Taco Bell has a pretty good deal right now on a box meal with a Double Chalupa, a Doritos taco, and a regular crunchy taco with a drink for five bucks.

Not a fan, but if the building has already been flood-damaged, it seems obvious it is not a suitable place for flood victims to shelter.

READ: Joel Osteen?s Tweets About Hurricane, Twitter?s*Response

People who know of Osteen know that he and his wife, Victoria, are very wealthy. According to Raw Story, the couple live in a $10.5 million mansion in Texas. However, Osteen has not made any public comments about allowing flood victims to enter his church (the extent of damage there is unclear) nor has he said anything about donating money to help relief efforts.

Instead, Osteen has posted a few tweets about praying for the people in Texas. He has also tweeted out a few messages about how God is in control and how God will help people get through tough times (likely referring to the hurricane).
    beware the false prophets....

Hope he roasts in that sheep's clothing.

Still a pretty chaotic/unstable situation in Houston. And it's continuing to rain. Am not going to slam anyone in the private sector for "what they haven't done yet".

It's up to the local city/county/state to set strategy and direction. Think it's way early to be making judgements on anyone.

Totally agree. That's why I said that it was maybe justifiable that it not be opened. Poor public relations though if he doesn't put that fact out there.

Do you consider a Church to be a private sector entity, or (like myself) do you not consider Osteen's "Church" to be a Church?

I agree. But this is just looking at his communications going out and what it's causing the feedback to be. Seems like he could be handling this better. Whether he's doing something behind the scenes, the building isn't in any condition to allow people in, or he's doing nothing... he's not helping himself.
