The right to believe what one wants

I want to be clear about something. Many Christians, and Muslims think that atheists want to deny them the right to believe what they they wish, and to have personal opinion. This is absolutely not true.

You have every right to believe that the grass is green because, every morning the Little Green Grass Fairy comes out and paints each blade with her tiny, little Green Grass Brush. No one has any right to tell you that you are not entitled to that opinion.

However, I also have every right, understanding science, chlorophyll, light, and the mechanisms of the eye, and how all of that affects colour, to think that you are an absolute fucking moron.

You see, it's not that atheists want to force theists to believe, or disbelieve anything. We just want them to quit using the government to enshrine their mythologies in the laws of the land, and we want them to quit indoctrinating young, impressionable children with their made-up bullshit.

    Just sayin'.

And we have the right to protest you guys trying to keep our beliefs out and only allowing yours.

    It works both ways.

All we ask is to allow people to know all the options.

You have the right to protest attempts to keep your beliefs out of what? The government? No. You really don't. That is kind of the point of the First Amendment. You have no right to enshrine your religion in my government. You want to live in a theocracy, move to Saudi Arabia, or Iran, or Iraq. Here in America we have a secular government, and, by Constitutional decree, you have no right to attempt to make it any other.

What beliefs are specific to non-believers?

Don't want to enshrine anything, just would like it taught as something believe in the schools instead of ignoring it.

Except those schools are funded by my government. You also do not have the right to use my government's funds to fund the indoctrination of young, impressionable children into your mythologies. It's bad enough that you get to do so in your home, and you get to dictate that they attend your religious centres to indoctrinate them.

Isn't that the opposite of a belief? Beliefs are ideas based on something other than fact or evidence. One doesn't need to BELIEVE in gravity--it acts just the same whether you "believe in it" or not.

Everyone agrees about things they can measure. Facts aren't "beliefs."

I think this is not a grammatical enough sentence to make your meaning clear.
