Why would you assume that a deist would be a creationist? You seem to be incapable of imagining a god concept that isn't derived from Judeo-Christian mythology.

Every one of these posts eventually gets around to racism, somehow or another.

Created by whom? A God that simply came into existence as a cosmic accident?

My understanding of deism is that G-d created the universe, and that was it ... since a perfect creation would not require His intervention in anything.

Really, they were just being polite, and conceding that they couldn't rule out a creator being responsible for existence. They were atheists & agnostics who still wanted to be invited to parties and be allowed to marry well to do women from religious families. When I hear people mention "Deism" like it's a religion I have to chuckle. Really they believed that everything that happened, happened because of something physical in the natural tangible world, according to physical laws of motion all the way back to the first cause. to quote Zeno (≈300 BC): "Fate is the endless chain of causation, whereby things are; the reason or formula by which the world goes on."

That's true of classical deism, but it's not as if there is a Church of Deism imposing a strict doctrine over anyone who considers themselves deist. The single most important defining aspect of deism, in my own opinion, is the rejection of any manmade religion as the revealed word of God.

First, you do understand that Christianity is not a deistic religion, right?

Second, like so many Dominionists you seem convinced that opposition and hatred are synonymous. They're not.

Jesus Christ is a deity separate from God? Because if you are claiming the God (Jehovah/Yaweh/JHVH) are two separate deities, you do know that you are claiming that Christianity is a polytheistic religion, right?

See, every Christian I have ever spoken to insist that God (Jehovah/Yaweh/JHVH), Jesus, and the "Holy Spirit" are all the same deity - they are just incarnations of one God. If you are claiming that they are separate, then you are saying that Christianity recognises, at least, two separate gods (deities), possibly three.

No it doesn't. In an infinite universe there is an infinite opportunity for any event to occur randomly. So it takes very little faith at all to accept that the universe is random.
