You keep pointing to all of the laws that Jesus broke, without explaining why he would then say that every law was still valid. Christians do this all the time. Anything the Bible says that is contradictory, they just pretend it never said.
And atheists cherry pick the Bible to pieces to try and create an argument but fail miserably every time.

I gave you more than enough resources to show you what Jesus was saying yet you HAVE to make your entire argument around only a few words.

That is really kind of pathetic.

So, the only way to get to Heaven is to have faith. Contrary to Paul's opinion, Love is not the greatest, but faith is.

You cannot have faith without love. And the love God had for us was sending His only begotten Son to redeem us.

You are obstinate in refusing to see the fact. There is the head of the Church, which is Christ, and there are men who are the head of the household. The obedience you speak of is not the obedience which Paul wrote about.

What you wrote does not jibe with what Paul says.

In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church, because we are members of his body.

So you essentially say, the word of god, was some old man's crap stories, fiction he - the daddy of lil' Jesus - made up to feel important -kind of like an early Trump - yet his virgin born son, Jesus, is the real deal.

Now if there ever is something to sum up spookycolts logic.. I say this is it. Thanks!

I haven't failed. You just refuse to see the truth. You point to all of these times when Jesus acted in direct contradiction to his own words. You point out places where Paul taught a message that is directly contradictory to Jesus' own words. I'm sorry that the Bible is contradictory, and unreliable. Don't blame me because you have chosen to devote your life to an unreliable book of mythology.

I'm not the one being obstinate here. Now you are replacing "submission" with "obedience". You know who is expected to be "obedient"? Children, pets, and slaves/servants/underlings. The man is the "head of the household". He's in charge. The wife had better damned well do as he demands. It's misogynistic, and degrading to women, no matter how many different ways you want to say it. And I don't care if your book of mythology justifies it! That was my point, no book of positive morality would ever justify that kind of dismissal of women! And you are only demonstrating the harm that it does. Because you think this is a perfectly acceptable way to view women!

Thank you for making my point for me.

Its not contradictory anywhere except in your own mind.

And why would I blame anyone for being a Christian?

I would actually like to thank those that helped me become one, not blame them.

Chatting with you actually makes my faith a little stronger because it helps me see how lost and clueless I was before God.

That is demonstrably not true. The words Jesus used were not allegorical, they were not ambiguous, they were not "open to interpretation". "For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished." There is no room for misunderstanding, misinterpretation, or inappropriate reading of that statement. It was clear, and unambiguous. Heaven and Earth have not disappeared, so every letter of the Law is still valid. The fact that Jesus acts contrary to his own words, and Paul wrote contradictory to Jesus words is not my failing. It is the failing of the contradictory, ambiguous book of mythology that you have dedicated your life to.

Well Heaven will never disappear so that right there means anything that follows that statement can't be true.

You are cherry picking one little sentence instead of looking at everything Jesus did and said over time in context.

Anyone can do what you're doing with any subject let alone one as vast as the Bible.

    Its not impressive.
