    Christianity Is Severely Tarnished

Finally,we have a Pastor stand up and tell the truth. No matter the outcome of the election.

It's obvious to me, the fascists who claim to be Christians are anything but.

I left when my Priest couldn't answer my questions on contradictory stuff in the bible.
I was told to be quiet.
    I was 12.

Doesn't that depend on which organised religion?

Which is a damned shame, and possibly the worst injury yet dealt to Americans by these corrupt people.
    Thanks from Iolo

I thought there was no reason at all to remain a Catholic, and left asap at 17. But it wasn't until decades later as the horrors of the pedophilia scandals emerged that I started to glow in the dark with rage.

To use a child's faith to silence him, or his family, always seemed to me a level of sadism previously unsuspected of human beings.
    Thanks from Idiocracat and MaryAnne

Maybe the cults. It's not easy to make such judgments.

It disturbs me no end to read about shunning demanded of Jehovah's Witnesses, etc., towards any loved ones who leave the church.

Likewise, rampant sex abuse of children among the Amish, etc.

There are a billion Christians in the world.

We are not perfect, just forgiven.

Most of the stories in the Bible about the heroes of the faith show them failing, falling short, repenting and being forgiven.

You don't need to look to hard for mistakes.
    Thanks from carpe diem
