Is "archism" in the dictionary? Dictionary.reference.com does not have it, though it does have "theism."

Odd that no word exists for a more balanced, moderate position. Only the dichotomy.

Um, no. I was just saying that when I hear of the word “theism” it sounds to me like someone using the (not really a) word “archism”. I’ve never heard any religious leader comment on how nice it is to see this many “theists” under one roof.
    Thanks from Ian Jeffrey

No word for a more balanced moderate position about what? In politics there are plenty.

There isn’t a more balanced moderate position about whether or not the light is on. Either it is or it isn’t.

Yes, archism is a real word. You can find it in the Bible.

To represent a position that is neither totally archist nor anarchist.

But you need to point out that they are irrational? Isn't another good quality of decent people to "Live and let live".

Most atheists I know express a need to show their intellectual superiority, almost like they are saying "I'm too smart to be told what to do".
The end-game is exactly as it appears - to demonstrate that religion is not necessary to formulate a rational moral code. Interestingly, nearly every response has been to suggest that, somehow, with my simple declarative, I am attacking religion. I suppose, in a way, I am. After all, if it can be demonstrated that religion is not necessary to formulate a rational moral code, that does rather attack one of the fundamental claims that religion makes about its necessity, now doesn't it?

I don’t know why it strikes me odd. I can’t explain it.

I’d think it normal to see a vegetarian cookbook. But no one makes a “meat only” cook book.

Theres “Al’s Steslhouse” but there’s no “Al’s No Steak Restaurant and Grill”

And religious a holes make the most close minded statements thinking they are morally superior
