    Simple question.

Do we live in a causal universe? That's it. Nothing too difficult. Just, do we live in a causal universe?

Sure. A universe in which, at a macroscopic level, events are caused by previous events in accordance with physical laws. A causally-valid event is, therefore, actually part of a chain of such events stretching back to the Big Bang.

Be snarky if you like. It is a serious question, and has a purpose. I am attempting to establish that all of us, theist, and atheist alike, have the same basic concepts of reality. Do we exist in a causal universe?
    Thanks from Madeline

    Mr. Czernobog,

Yes, but only on Friday. Unless you work in one of those offices with a stick up the ass manager.

Yep. I didn't know that phrase before now, but that's how I see it.

    Misread your title as casual.
(I already live in a casual universe as I wear shorts every day in retirement)

Well, I'm sure it's a comfortable universe, anyway...

Meanwhile, back to the question at hand...

Okay. I'm beginning to think you're making the same mistake that Devil did. I am asking if we exist in a CAUSal universe, not a CASUal universe. Care to try one more time?
    Thanks from Friday13 and Madeline
