Is the ongoing punishment of Adam and Eve justifiable?

Is the ongoing punishment of Adam and Eve justifiable?

Christian dogma says that Adam and Eve were murdered by neglect when God locked away the tree of life.

Eve was deceived by Satan and the talking serpent that God put in Eden. This caused the Original Sin concept that Christianity calls a happy fault and necessary to Godís plan.

Was gaining an education and a moral sense, which basically is what gaining knowledge is, justifiable to you?

Can you see yourself punishing your children for gaining an education and a moral sense the way God is punishing Adam and Eve to this day?

    Regards

You have an odd way of understanding what the word 'murder' means.

Thanks for the great argument that shows the proper way to see this myth and how you define murder as anything other that what your prick of a God does when he murders.

I'd hardly call it murder, they lived for centuries after the fall.

Have you read the apocryphal book of Adam and Eve?

What punishment? Adam and Eve were warned the tree is poison if you eat you will die. They ate the poison God didn't make them do it.

That'd the choice; but also shows a deception... how could God say it was poison if it was not?

That said; the whole story sounds like a genetic experiment. Nevermind fitting 2 of every animal on a boat... Ok, more like a yacht with the given dimensions.

I do not believe the word "poison" appears in Bereishit (Genesis).

Ok, it's been some time since I read the bible.... i seem to remember it being a dire warning regardless of the specific wording.

I appreciate that, ultimately, a person would need to read as many translations as able to better grasp the true meaning.. unless you can read the original texts and understand the contexts.

Actually, that makes no sense. You do have to read the original, or get an accurate translation. Here is one:

    Bereishit 2:17

    17. But of the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat of it, for on the day that you eat thereof, you shall surely die."

It was poison. once they knew sin, they were accountable for committing the sin, and the wages of sin is death. If they had not eaten of the tree they would not have died the current body would be eternal.
