You are correct in that Gnostic Christians thought more like the Jews on this who see Eden as where man was elevated. Not where he fell.

Christianity took the opposite view but have failed to argue their position well.

They make both man and God look like losers when in fact the story was intended to be one of success for all.

There is more cash though from those who think they need help and that is the reason Christianity choose a fall. Bastards.

    An accurate rendering.

    Stupid is as stupid does.

Spiritual people will tell the Pope where to shove his views.

With Christianity and Catholicism shrinking, you will see more of his kind of garbage talk.

The Roman's were led by their oligarchs the same way most countries and nations today are led by oligarchs. IMO, we all live where money rules, oligarchies.

Look at one country calling another one that without recognizing they are the same.

A pot calling a kettle black was never more accurate.

Every once in a while I come by these “questions to Christians” threads and I reply with what I personally DO believe as opposed to the nonsense attributed to people in the question.

It’s ignored, and then a new thread pops up, complete with a comment about how people are too “cowardly” to respond.

So seriously.... why would anyone respond again? And again. And again.

Christians, as a whole, believe that the universe and everything in it was created by a benevolent being who guides each of us. And that Jesus was a manifestation of that God in a human form, who offered humanity a “new deal” whereby pleasing God would come from the teachings of Jesus, and not blind unthinking adherence to dogma. That’s, fundamentally, a Christian.

Any specific questions beyond that, like “do you believe in angels” or “do you think god listens to prayers” are never going to get the same answer from any two different people because people are different, churches are different, congregations are different, denominations are different.

So asking all Christians if they believe God speaks to them is like asking Christians how tall Christians are. Or what colour shoes Christians are wearing today.

You’re asking a group of a billion people what they individually believe so you can mock them when they answer differently from each other.

    That’s a hell of a hobby.

I'm speaking of actual universes occupying some sort of dimensional space not typically observable to consciousnesses expressed in 3D+T, and the consciousnesses who reside within them.

I'm rejecting the notion that the "good go to Heaven," and then, that's it. Destination station. String concerts and every Tuesday going over and watching the unfortunates suffering in hell for eternity.

Sort of, although I do have a problem with fully grasping the concept of infinities.

    A hobby? No.

    A duty? Yes.

Do you see religions as being good or evil for society as a whole?

Do you think they have helped man's moral progress with their homophobic, misogynous and slave wanting ideologies?

If so, look again for the first time.

If not, do your duty to mankind and fight the bastards.
