Aside from the fact that he could turn water into wine, there are some similarities to "addictive" behavior in people who regularly attend church. Especially those mega-churches.
You can see them getting whipped up into a frenzy by an empassioned sermon and hard-driving music. Sometimes they even fall on the floor shaking in "rapture." Finally, of course, they have a driving need to keep coming back.
A little rehab for these people might not be such a bad idea...
For some its addictive.
If you can be a sex addict then why not a religion addict?
If it is detremental to your life such as you give money you cannot afford to give and follow orders from your "pastor" or whatever which harm you I think it could be considered an addiction.
