Knowing Our Enemy the Islamic Jihadist

What kind of enemy do we face in the War on Islamic Extreamist or the War on Jihadism. Notice I didn't call it the War On Terror. Let me tell you why, terror is a tactic not an enemy. We must first call things by there name. In WWII we didn't call it the "War on Blitzkrieg" or the "War on Kamikaze".

Sun Tzu was a 6th Century BC Chinese General and Author of The Art of War he said "It is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle." Today we refuse to define the enemy. This in my opinion is a grave mistake.

Our Enemy the Islamic Jihadist is one of the most ruthless, driven, and truly evil warriors we have ever faced. At the same time he is a coward who hides his face and uses tactics such as what happened this past Friday when two women suicide bombers with Down's Syndrome killed nearly 80 people in Baghdad were exploited by al Qaida. The explosives were detonated by remote control in a co-ordinated attack after the women walked into separate crowded markets. http://www.guardian.co.uk/Iraq/Story/0,,2251283,00.html

The Jihadist justifies his war against the secular west with his strong faith and defense of his religion, Islam. There are many passages in the Qur'an and Hadith's that he can point to that support his fanatical belief that he is fighting the enemies of Islam and that makes him a true believer. The jihadist believes that political power must be based solely on Islam and that Isalm is not compatable with democracy.

Caliph: a spiritual leader of Islam, claiming succession from Muhammad. The Jihadist wants this Caliph to rule the world.

Caliphate: is widely considered as the ideal Islamic form of government representing the political unity and leadership of the Muslim world. The Jihadist wants a return of the Caliphate.

Tawhid: is the three main tenets of Islam: There is only one God; he has no partners; anyone who worships another god is sinning and will be judged by God. He (the jihadist) believes that God has no partners means that any secular ruler is taking God's role by making laws and is therefore an idolater who must be killed. This idea makes any system of government other than a Caliphate led by a Caliph a false religion.

Jihad: meaning "to strive" or "to struggle". It is considered a personal duty of all muslims. The Jihadist believes that jihad is the spreading of Isalm by waging war, " Holy War" against apostates, and non-believers.

Da'wa: is the original call to Islam from Muhammad. Jihadists believe that da'wa must be given anew to convince other Muslims to become jihadists against the apostate rulers, the occupiers, and the unbelieving world. If you do not answer the call, you are not a good muslim and you can be justly killed.

Understanding the enemy we face is the first step in defeating him.
Next I will cover the main Ideologues of Jihadism. ~ Joe Bob KC

Thanks for providing this information. As a result of having read it should I:
    1. Hate Muslims more?
    2. Think the war should go on longer?
    3. Just feel like I learned something today?
    4. Call the police if I hear someone say Da'Wa?
    5. ?.....You tell me.

A lot of this stuff is really just not factually correct, but keep on joebob. Looks like a cut and paste job too. I could go into etymology and origins of words, address each point, but it would be a waste of time. Any schmuck can research for themselves. And any schmuck can cut and paste Daniel Pipes. Its Super Bowl Sunday!

Give them a developed economical platform with the same avenues of sustenance and you'd be surprised how quick this 'brotherhood in religion' melts to nothingness.

Easy living is what the average tomy wants. No one wants to work hard, if you give them an easy life, every tomy would jump at the chance. Because of how worthless their monetary system there is, you will always find good recruitment tools. Why should a person become a militant if he is running a business? Or has family commitments with means of safely fulfilling such commitments?

Ideally put, it isn't the jihad we should be worried about. Give them money and they will change their names from Mohammed to Moses in a ziffy. The western influence has plagued even Asia, where Christian names have become popular, the Chinese get married in churches, with European wedding gowns. Despite, their cultural backgrounds, why can't it work with these Islamic tomys? Give them money, and they will want to be like you.

The last time Arabs had their "Rome", or their "America", was when
they were taking over Europe in the name of Islam. The modern
world inst offering a lot of these people much pride.

Its just like guys in the South still raising the Confederate flag.
