How many percent of muslims subscribe to this

A BBC clip taken from youtube:

A known British Mullah Mr. Anjum Chaudri describes the "Killing of Innocent" Non-Muslims civilians in the suicide bombing as "Legitimate".

YouTube - Killing of Non-Muslims is Legitimate (British Mullah)

While Christians in the western world are looking past e.g the Old Testament and are looking for excuses to practice their religion in a way compatible to the society we live in or at least actively searching for alternate interpretations, this intelligent bloke is a prime example of people who don't. In this case, the interpretation of the holy book is the most important, and he is willing to put that interpretation first, no matter what consequences it might have. So we westerners have two problems, first the fact that the book he swears obedience to contains a certain amount of violent stuff, and the second problem is that they don't make an attempt to extract a general message out of the passages that could downplay the violent stuff with respect to our time.

Why doesn't these ideas pose any bigger problems in the U.S?

I take it there are tons of peaceful muslims NOT to be brainwashed by him, but the scary part is that you only need a few who thinks this makes sense to blow up bombs on a train, in a kindergarden or in another convenient place.

there might be tons of peaceful muslims not brainwashed but not tons that will stand up against him. I think those protesting his hate speech and other bad behavior are those who follow British law and are non-muslim Brits.

and yes, people like him can gather quite a following to blow up shit and use violence in terrorist attacks. sadly, there are many others like him out there.

I think you are right, but then again, are there really that many non-muslim Brits ready to stand up against this? You would have to thread really carefully among my student friends making comments that have an element of hostility towards islam. Chances are you'd be seen as a bigot and perhaps even a racist.

exactly, that's an old cop-out... when there is no defense attack the person who is pointing out a problem as a racist. and the circle begins... and we get no where toward peace, terrorism continues, and war looms.

I have always wondered that question myself. From what I have seen, the majority of Muslims are peaceful, however, it seems to be considered taboo to stand up against those that are not peaceful. My guess is that it is mostly a fear for their life that prevents them.
