There are some Christians who will react that way, but the Pope would never call for someone to be executed for that reason. Muslim leaders issue decrees calling for people's deaths all the time.

Maybe not the first time, but that is the only explanation I can think of for voting for him again.

The Buddhism I studied..and actually practiced for a while, DID NOT believe in any sort of "higher power", or deity, or God. Not any that exist outside oneself, that is. Your "inner-self" is a different story.

So where do Buddhists think we come from and why are we here?

Which is ironic. Since it's attitudes like this that turn people off from the alternatives.

Cause and effect brought us to where we are. As far as why we are here? Put simply, to live.

One problem with Christians in America is that they worship Jesus without trying to understand his words or walk in his footsteps. When I visited Thailand I was amazed to find that many Thais "worshipped" Buddha but didn't seem to be trying to understand his words or walk in his footsteps. From the actions of some Muslims, I think they have the same problem. How else could the radical Fundamentalist Muslims justify murdering other Muslims and anyone else with whom they disagree?

The current Pope, perhaps not but to think thruout time that the 200 plus Popes of the Past never did is unfeasible.

I anticipated that reply. True, in the past, that was done, but the Church us a lot more civilized than it was in the past. Muslims still have along way to go.

Trouble is the Catholic Church claims to be the ONE TRUE CHURCH. The POPE is the Vicar of Christ, when he proclaims anything on behalf of the Church its actually the Holy Spirit talking. See the Pope although Human is INFALLIBLE..Thus the Church has not and can not change their views as the Speak on behalf of JESUS, The Lord of All Creation, himself.

Jesus lived, died and rose again. Rather then Stay on Earth as a living testament he basically said..My Work here is done, but I leave you Peter..a man..to run my Church. Now keep in mind MAN ruined the Jewish Religion, one of Jesus's reasons for coming..why then would he leave a man to run the new Church he created? Why not show his face TO ALL as PROOF he rose again rather then 11 men who was already going to be hunted?

If MAN is fallible..and he is..why not stay to teach more as Thousands a day would surely convert upon SEEING he raised from the dead. Think for a moment..What if..3 days after his death a large group of people claimed they saw David Koresh walking and alive again...People would think them crazy. But we are to believe 11 men of old who has no real proof other then saying..Honest, I saw Jesus just the other day alive again...Where is he??? UMMMMMM he said his work on Earth was done and he had to split...but but but he said he is preparing a better place for us all who believe..

I aim this not at you but to all. People claim the Bible is truth yet just think about what I asked.
