    Evidence of Heaven, or ...

Is this the 'smoking gun' mankind has sought since it emerged from the primordial slime, or something else?

The boy who claims he went to Heaven...

A boy who almost died from a ruptured appendix has said he met the dead sister he did not know existed.

The extraordinary claims by Colton Burpo, aged four, came after he was misdiagnosed with flu while his family, from Imperial, Nebraska, were on a trip to Colorado. By the time they returned home he was seriously ill and had to undergo emergency surgery twice.

While he was in the operating theatre his parents, Todd and Sonya, prayed, believing they were going to lose their son.

However, Colton soon recovered and then told his astonished parents that he had met the sister his mother had miscarried a year before his own birth.

What made this even more remarkable was his parents had never spoken to him about her.

Colton said that his visions became more vivid as time passed.

He said: 'I remember Jesus, there's streets of gold and a lot of colours. I sat on Jesus' lap and then I just felt safe. God, he is the biggest one in Heaven, he can hold the world in his hands.'

He even claims he saw a glimpse of Armageddon.

When asked the age-old question about what Heaven is like, Colton had a very specific description: 'Well, it’s all the colours of the rainbow, a place of beautiful shades and hues.

'The gates were made of gold and there were pearls on them. It never gets dark. It’s always bright.

'Everyone has wings and can fly except for Jesus, who hovers up and down. Everyone wears a white robe crossed by a sash of different colours and they have lights above their heads.'

OK, I know it's the Daily Mail, but there's some weird stuff he could not have known about (unless his parents tutored him).

hey have lights above their heads.'
When my daughter was younger while walking into a Church she asked " what are the lights above some of the peoples heads"?

I have never seen this or Heaven but that caught my eye. A lady I didn't know came up to me and said there was a light all around me but too many weird people out there. LOL you never know about some.

People who think that everything that is in the world must be justified by science or it doesn't exist are missing a lot.

And those that believe things exist that really don't are missing a lot too. Reality.

Interesting story. There are tons of them just like this one on the internet, books and articles where people have died, been in a coma, or put under for medical reasons such as surgery; who have these 'visions.' Most of them are pretty similar and/or the MO is similar, they learned something that was true that nobody ever told them, such as the miscarried sister, the name of a long lost uncle or some sort.

Ultimately it will be written off as nothing. The part about him learning facts that he could never learn without discovery will be overlooked. Even though it is impossible, and happened, and is a phenomena that isn't explained easily or at all.

When I die, I'm going to make sure I "told ya so" to all the folks who said there was none. Then we'll dance.

How does something physical, like pearls, make it into the spiritual world?
    Gold streets and pearls?
Yep, sounds like rightwing heaven to me.

I agree with johnflesh that there are many of these types of experiences. Thank you for sharing this one Leo.

If there really is an after-life, then likely there was a life before birth. There have been studies using hypnosis where the majority of people can remember choosing to be born. If not evidence of heaven, could be evidence of God.

Visions are not evidence. They are dreams and hallucinations. There really is no evidence of anything more after your time on earth no matter how many people have dreams while in a coma..

Yeah... I didn't say visions were evidence.
