Not only assuming they're stupid, but telling everyone they're stupid. I love how conservatives tell people they're stupid and thereby expect them to change their votes.

Rubio didn't do one bit of good for Romney in 2012. In fact, CUBAN latinos swing wildly against the GOP in 2012. How do you think he going to do something good now? Do you really think he will get your party's nod for the presidential nomination in 2016? I think not.

Yepp. But how about embracing them first because they are fellow human beings?

well, they just went 71% for Obama in 2012, already knowing full well that Democrats are pro-choice. BTW, in Ohio, Obama got 82% of the Latino vote. That is how dead-set against Romney Latinos were in THE battleground state of all battleground states. But by saying they are being duped, I think you are calling them stupid. Did it ever occur to you that one of the reasons why the latinos have turned so against the GOP is that the GOP is constantly painting Latinos as stupid, and I bet they are not inclined to vote for people who consider them stupid? Just sayin...

I think there is something wrong with it. Care about people because they are people... not because you want to win an election.

According to a new report from the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life, 620,000 Christian immigrants received green cards in 2012, joining the nearly 250 million Christians in the U.S. overall.
The data presented in Pew's latest, wide-ranging analysis are based primarily off of estimates, since the government doesn't track specific religious affiliation for new permanent residents. Even so, the report contains interesting findings, including the fact that the majority of U.S. immigrants—both authorized and unauthorized—are Christian.
Pew estimates that the share of new, Christian legal permanent residents (LPR) decreased seven percent over the past 20 years, down to 61 percent in 2012. Meanwhile, the shares of LPR immigrants who belong to minority faiths including Islam and Hinduism increased, and 1 in 4 green card recipients now is a religious minority. This corresponds with a rising share of immigrants from regions other than Latin America, including southeast Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
By contrast, unauthorized immigrants mainly come from Latin America and the Caribbean, where countries have established Christian (usually Catholic) majorities. As a result, an overwhelming majority (83 percent, or 9.2 million people) of unauthorized immigrants are Christian. According to Pew, that's more than the Christian percentage of the U.S. population as a whole, which clocked in at 80 percent in 2010.

Interesting the illegal immigrants coming to the USA are 83 per cent Christian. Maybe the GOP should change their thinking on illegal immigration and get behind these Christians. So, an easier path to citizenship = more Christians in the USA. More Christians = GOP growth
Damn, I was hoping they were giving out promotional gifts or something.

Good luck. (Honestly) I'd love to see the GOP more inclusive. I don't think it will work though with a large part of your base demonizing immigration, amnesty, blaming job loss on illegal aliens, etc... You guys will need to real that shit in, change your focus a bit, and just as importantly, you need to sell the new message to your existing base as well as the new base.

From a moral standpoint, sure. But from a practical one, caring about them means addressing their issues and helping them out. They are unlikely to care about the motivation behind doing so, as they will perceive the ones doing those things as caring more.
    Thanks from BDBoop
