Seems to be equal. Talking and not doing anything are about the same. Sander's proposal would be positive action.

Probably won't pass. But it's a good thing. The spotlight needs to be shone here ... practically nonstop ... and people need to be questioned over and over and over about why they let this happen.

Enough light and heat could result in a livable compromise.

.... but hey, maybe Congress will surprise me and do the right thing sooner rather than later .....

Hurt a lot of Americans.

I was just thinking about the many bus loads that were taken to Canada for Seniors to buy from Ohio.

Keep in mind Ohio is on the border line. There have been many articles written about this.

Where are the so-called conservatives on this? Surely they would side with the people instead of corporations.

No, it became illegal during the Bush II administration.

The REAL cure is universal care, because if Americans could depend on their government to negotiate not-insane prices for Rx drugs (as happens everywhere else in the first world), gouging would become a thing of the past. But Bernie's bill is a good stop-gap measure.

Believe it was an add on to the ACA. We also used to be able to buy insurance on the Massachusetts exchange since we commuted down there to work. Made it easy because most people had doctors there already they could go to while on lunch break or whatever. But then they mandated that you had to buy insurance from the exchange in the state you lived not worked. Kind of sucked because a lot of people up here commute down to Boston and it can be a 2 hour commute one way. So a doctors appt can take the entire day now.

It is a CRIME for any American to bring Rx drugs into the country from Canada, even for their own consumption.

When I was younger and lived in Massena, NY it was common to have a doctor in Canada. The closest hospital for big things like open heart surgeries or cancer treatment was 20 minutes away vs 2 or 3 hours in NY. Happened all the time. Now you cant do it anymore unless you pay cash for the whole thing. My dentist growing up was in Canada and we went every 6 months across the bridge!
    Thanks from Madeline

Well in the first draft of this bill many did cross over. But dems like Booker voted no so it was more or less a wash.
