And you are not yet showing awareness that liberal only is as liberal does.

Why do YOU think BLM campaigned against Hillary?
When did BLM campaign against her?

This is not a hierarchal group; individual cities might be loosely organized, but there is no central, national authority. It'd be fair to say they had not endorsed any candidate, but were more openly hostile to Bill & Hillary than to Bernie.

I am trying to connect the dots, and probably being too emphatic in my language. It was DEMOCRATS who created the prison industrial complex. Nobody in the Democratic party deserves the support of an American unless they have demonstrated they are dedicated to killing it.

It's frustrating to show Democrats, over and over, the appalling racist injuries inflicted by THEIR party, and have them reply "meh".

Real liberals vote for other real liberals -- regardless of their party affiliation.

The very same thing is happening as to undocumented people and detention centers:

Yes, prison labor producing goods for corporate profit is the thin end of the wedge and should be outlawed.

What a convenient, but so unethical circle: corporations back judges and lawmakers who propose draconian sentencing to provide more labor.

    Sick!

It needs to cost something to incarcerate people, that cost can be offset, but to have the prison system produce a profit, that is indeed outrageous and I don't know how such a thing can be tolerated by anyone of any political stripe!

    Thx

I did. Most people don't care. Same as they don't care about prison rape. They figure those people deserve it.

You guys haven't yet discussed the contracts with these for profit prisons that the cities maintain the prison at a certain occupancy minimum or have to pay penalties to offset the lost revenue.

Yet another aspect of our system of justice that must be changed. Our prisons should not be torture chambers.
