I do not know how far this Wisconsin bill will go, but it is aligns with my idea of how to treat these miscreants on college campuses:

The policy must include a range of disciplinary sanctions for anyone under an institution's jurisdiction who engages in violent, abusive, indecent, profane, boisterous, obscene, unreasonably loud, or other disorderly conduct that interferes with the free expression of others. In addition, the policy must provide that in disciplinary cases involving expressive conduct, students are entitled to a disciplinary hearing under published procedures that include specified rights. Also, the second time that a student is found responsible for interfering with the expressive rights of others, the policy must require the student to be suspended for a minimum of one semester or expelled.

Yeah, I know. And guess who wrote it? The fucking ACLU, in cooperation with the Goldwater Institute!

My all-time heros of the constitution are trying to repeal the 1st amendment by this sneaking around bullshit!

IDGAF if Thomas Jefferson rises from the grave and endorses this new law.

    It's absolutely unconstitutional.

If we don't USE our rights, we won't HAVE our rights.

    Ever read "1984"?

Their first responsibility is as educators not law enforcement. Speeches are not and should not be the school's main focus.

As a PRIVATE institution, the school is not subject to obligations that of a public institution. If the school has the right of association and has the right to limit speech, then it is inconsistent to hold the students to a different standard.

I believe it was stated that the institution is a private institution. Your link was to the UW...a public college.

This might impact alumni donations and future enrollments.

Still, almost never does any citizen owe a legal duty to VOLUNTEER any data to the cops.

    Ms. Madeline,

The Conservative students didn't do anything wrong.

It's true. Middlebury is a down-the-line New England lefty college of the kind that dates from Emerson. Middlebury wants to be Amherst. They'll get no backlash from lefty parents and alumni if they don't expel anyone.

Middlebury hosts the Breadloaf School, a summer institute at the graduate level for mostly high school English teachers.
    Thanks from Madeline

Jefferson would absolutely endorse that law.

There is no constitutional right to protest and no right to disrupt someone's free speech rights.

My believe my link is to the Wisconsin legislature, not a school.
