Your anxiety level does not affect my rights. I am protected as a member of a "mob".

There was 1st amendment protection in 2011 for citizens at the capital building and the streets outside the building, protesting SB 5 in Wisconsin as they attempted to make passage impossible.

Great, so you support Christians blocking access to Planned Parenthood abortion mills? Just a mob exercising their first amendment rights, right?

The SCOTUS says yes, as long as the protesters do not block access on the part of patients.

Shout abuse, wave images of dead babies. As long as patients can go in an out, that protesters' conduct is protected.

There is no constitutionally protected right not to see or hear things from your fellow citizen that a reasonable person might find upsetting.

CONTENT of the speech is almost always irrelevant to the extent of any citizen's rights.

This is protected free speech, outside a US solider's funeral:

Cancelling a rally because of fear of violence isn't affecting anyone's first amendment rights.

They can still hold their protests.

What you are saying is that people must show up so that people can protest them. That is violating the first amendment of those that don't wish to protested. I have the right to avoid people that wish to protest me.

You no doubt had a grandfather in the US military during WWII, SD. Have you considered how he might feel, that you are so frightened and so willing to give up your rights?

This thread isn't about people protesting, it's about cancelling an event where protesters will be.

There is nothing wrong with that and it doesn't violate anyone's rights.

NOBODY is compelled to protest, counter-protest, or show up.

    That's preposterous.

So you admit that cancelling an event to avoid protesters is not violating anyone's rights.
