I disagree. Since he was hired by the AG, he can be fired by the AG. He is not an "independent prosecutor" such as Kenneth Starr was.

Guilty of just what? It certainly isn't "collusion with Russians."

Either way Mueller is investigating a cover up of colluding with the Russians which, according to Comey, didn't happen.

They will need some pretty damning evidence to get Trump impeached, basically Russia coming out and saying Trump was behind it all.

The odds of that happening are about zero.

I think Trump isn't even on their radar, they are casting a dragnet for other people.

And no one is going to "flip" on Trump since he has the power of the pardon and can just let them go no matter what they get convicted with.

I wish everyone would stop this impeachment talk. Unless there is even the possibility of having the votes in the House, there can be no impeachment. The impeachment process is political, not criminal. Besides that, it is stupid to talk about if the Democrats don't have a minimum of 218 votes in the House and 67 votes in the Senate.

But, I also know that the D's and their allies, MSM, love to fill the air with impeachment talk.

Those of us in flyover country are not as stupid as the MSM and Liberals think we are.

Starr resigned after Clinton was impeached.

The Independent Counsel Statute calls for a prosecutor to be appointed by a three-judge panel that is, in turn, chosen by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. No financial or time limits are placed on independent counsel investigations. In theory, the attorney general can discipline or even fire the independent counsel. Nevertheless, the political reality of an independent counsel investigation makes control by an attorney general or the U.S. Justice Department nearly impossible. For example, if Attorney General Janet Reno had tried to limit independent prosecutor Kenneth Starr’s investigation of President Clinton, she would have been accused of conflict of interest. After all, President Clinton is her boss.

Impeachment does not have to do with Russian hacking at all.

Nixon was not Impeached. If it ever got to the point where votes in the house were being discussed...Trump would already be toast.

    Your thoughts?
I think the Democrats should be worried about not losing seats in the upcoming 2018 election.

If all they talk about is how Trump should be impeached or about Russia, that will not happen. I guarantee it.

They have absolutely no solutions to the problems facing everyday Americans, and they know it.

Deflections and strawmen, tactics we see employed here every day.
