My disaster preparedness plan is to die quickly. I am not caring for children, etc. It is just me.

Once the air conditioning goes, I hope I go too.
    Thanks from Hollywood and Thx1138

I am with you on that. Eking out a miserable survival for a couple years of suffering and watching the world crumble aint my bag.
    Thanks from Madeline and Hollywood

Sounds like it's becoming a cult.

They're all about the end of times.

Not to compromise my quick death plan, but...I think it might be wise if you put in a Victory Garden, and had your kids help tend it. Being able to grow food is a skill set, it connects them to nature, and it might someday come in handy.

    Michele Obama was correct.

Its actually quite popular. Even other things happening now like teaching people to grow their own food, hunt, fish and live off the land. There are even college courses for that stuff now. Younger people are experiencing a bit of "back to nature" choosing tiny houses and growing their own food instead of relying on corporate food. I don't think its just end of times stuff, but also a mistrust of corporations, government and so forth. Learning to trust themselves and learning to not be dependent on others.
    Thanks from Madeline

NOW you'll need to explain to the youngsters WTF a "Victory Garden" is.

I look at it as my chance to become Overlord Of Earth.
