Its not like I am going to be sailing around the Caribbean.

They don't get many hurricanes off of Alaska.
    I suggest you leave today.

Yet we are in for a very rough summer, and it is not likely to let up again. The political scandals of Donald Trump. The worst hurricane season in history. Increasingly hostile, war-like conduct in the ME, SE Asia, Eastern Europe, Africa, etc.

In this new-normal malestrom, how will you protect your peace of mind? Your physical well-being? Your financial security?

This is a season of events with worldwide significance, that potentially will impact the most private areas of your life.

Do you have a plan? Do you think a plan is even possible?
In 1994 I began a walk it starts with baby steps, and as you grow mature and learn to delay pleasure... the steps become strides, a person named Dave Ramsey put me on this path

Baby Step 1: $1,000 cash in a beginner emergency fund
Baby Step 2: Use the debt snowball to pay off all your debt but the house
Baby Step 3: A fully funded emergency fund of 3 to 6 months of expenses
Baby Step 4: Invest 15% of your household income into retirement
Baby Step 5: Start saving for college
Baby Step 6: Pay off your home early
Baby Step 7: Build wealth and give generously

I hear you, that's what I would want. People would be complete assholes, take away any structure, justice system, add desperation, they will scrwe anybody over to survive. I'd rather not deal with it. All these post apocalytpic shows its the same thing and would be in real life, the biggest threats in such a scenario are other humans.

In zombie movies, the other humans are more dangerous than the zombies

Oh definitely, we are animals after all. Take away our education, money, homes, food, civility etc and force us to go back to basic survival, we would regress into animals. There was a documentary years ago about that scenario and they tried to make it more realistic than movies and shows. It was scary as hell. It showed how people reverted back to instinct and things like law, theft and murder no longer mattered. It was pretty gruesome.
    Thanks from BigLeRoy and Madeline

I don't believe humans posses any instincts.
